Proprietary floating suction technology for optimal water extraction from dams, reservoirs and settling ponds.
The Turret™ is a patented floating suction intake that solves a common water-extraction problem: as levels fluctuate, fixed intakes draw from inconsistent depths and often pull sediment-laden water from near the bottom.
Wetpipe is the authorised Turret™ seller for Southern Africa and a certified Turret™ installer. We supply and install systems that automatically adjust intake depth as water levels change — always drawing the cleanest water available. Contact Wetpipe for quotations, site assessment and commissioning.
A pump intake set too high vortexes and cavitates. Set too low, it ingests silt and tailings. Turret™ floats with the water level and always draws from the cleanest depth.
Pump intake positioned too high causes vortexing - air bubbles enter the pump and implode, leading to cavitation, impeller damage and costly downtime.
Intake set too deep ingests tailings and silt from the pond floor - blown seals, pump damage and contaminated process water are the result.
The Turret™ device floats on the surface, drawing water from just below - eliminating vortexing and keeping the intake away from settled tailings at any water level.
The Turret™ uses a simple yet effective floating mechanism to maintain optimal intake position as water levels vary.
Buoyant floats maintain the intake structure at the correct position relative to the water surface, regardless of level changes.
Integrated screening prevents debris, floating matter and sediment from entering the suction line.
Articulated or flexible pipe sections connect the floating intake to the fixed shore-side pipeline without restricting movement.
Consistent, clean water delivered to pumping systems regardless of dam or pond water level fluctuations.
Extracting process water from return water dams for reuse in mineral processing. The Turret™ draws clean water from the upper layers, leaving settled solids undisturbed.
Water treatment plant intake from storage dams where water levels fluctuate seasonally. Consistent intake depth ensures optimal raw water quality year-round.
Clean water recovery from industrial settling and clarification ponds. The floating intake avoids disturbing settled particulates.
Farm dam water extraction for irrigation systems. Consistent intake position ensures clean water supply for pivot and drip irrigation systems.
Supernatant water recovery from tailings storage facilities. Critical for water balance management and environmental compliance in mining.
Multi-level intake capability from reservoirs and impoundments where water quality varies with depth and season.
The Turret™ system offers significant advantages over fixed intake structures, particularly in applications where water levels fluctuate or water quality varies with depth.
