Proprietary floating suction assemblies for optimal water extraction from dams, return water facilities and marine intake.
The Turret™ is a patented floating suction intake system that maintains optimal water extraction from dams, reservoirs and settling ponds as water levels fluctuate. Unlike fixed intake structures, the Turret™ automatically adjusts position to always draw the cleanest water from the ideal depth.
Wetpipe is the authorised Turret™ seller for Southern Africa and a certified Turret™ installer. We supply, integrate and commission systems on mining return water dams, municipal reservoirs, agricultural farm dams and industrial settling ponds across the region — contact us for quotations and installation.
A pump intake set too high vortexes and cavitates. Set too low, it ingests silt and tailings. Turret™ floats with the water level and always draws from the cleanest depth.
Pump intake positioned too high causes vortexing - air bubbles enter the pump and implode, leading to cavitation, impeller damage and costly downtime.
Intake set too deep ingests tailings and silt from the pond floor - blown seals, pump damage and contaminated process water are the result.
The Turret™ device floats on the surface, drawing water from just below - eliminating vortexing and keeping the intake away from settled tailings at any water level.
The floating assembly automatically adjusts intake depth as water levels rise or fall — no manual intervention required.
Integrated screen assembly prevents floating debris, vegetation and surface contaminants from entering the suction line.
Always draws water from the best available depth — avoiding bottom sediment and surface contamination.
Articulated or flexible pipe sections connect the floating intake to the fixed shore pipeline without restricting movement.
Built to match pump capacity and flow requirements. From small farm dam installations to large mining return water systems.
Simple mechanical design with minimal moving parts. Robust construction for long service life in harsh environments.
The Turret™ system is versatile across all sectors where clean water extraction from variable-level water bodies is required.
